

Recently Corey moved back home to be near his family and friends and turned his live toward God, wanting to do good works in this world.

He moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and worked in the insurance industry. Corey worked for a number of years in the world of finance in the Des Moines. After his tour, he finished his Bachelor of Science degree at ISU on May 8, 2010. He was called to active duty and served a tour in Iraq in 2008. He enrolled in the Marine Corp as a reservist in 2006 and returned to ISU after Basic Training in the Spring of 2006. In 2004, Corey transferred to Iowa State University and began his studies in Finance and Marketing. He received many accolades and was named Male Athlete of the Year. His freshman year he attended Northwest Missouri State University where he played football as a kicker. Corey graduated from Dowling High School in 2004. Ever since Corey was a young kid, he would always round up neighborhood kids and play any sport – everyone had fun. He also excelled in Punt, Pass and Kick as well as Throw, Hit, Run. Corey loved sports and participated in club soccer, football, baseball, basketball and track. He was also active in Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle Scout in 2002.

He also took part in a missions trip to Florida and summer camp at Raccoon River Bible Camp in Scranton, Iowa. As a youth, Corey was active in the Congregational Church in Stuart, Iowa. Shortly after his birth, Corey and his mother moved back to Iowa to be surrounded by family and friends. Corey was born on October 13, 1984, in Minneapolis, MN, to Julie and Clinton Paetznick. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, two infant grandsons, and a son-in-law.

Brallier moved to Evergreen Assisted Living in 1999 until ill health mandated a transition in 2004 to Prairie Lakes Care Center where she resided at the time of her death. They resided at Benet Place, a retirement community. The Bralliers moved from the farm into Curlew for several years then moved to Watertown, South Dakota in 1992. Ruth was known in her and her husband's family for her correspondence skills which served to keep the family members informed of important events as well as the mundane events of life. Amos and Ruth were active in building and grounds maintenance at Raccoon River Bible Camp during the summer months of their retirement years. She also volunteered for several years at the Palo Alto County Hospital in the Auxiliary. She was very active in their rural Church of the Brethren and then in Curlew Baptist Church in children's ministries and ladies missionary society. She enjoyed sewing clothes for them and gardening was a hobby as well as a necessity. Two children were born and Ruth was very active in their school activities. Ruth became a homemaker and helpmate to her husband who farmed in Palo Alto County in Rush Lake Township. She was employed at the telephone office in Curlew until her marriage to Amos Brallier in November 1938 at the Curlew Baptist Church. Her dream was to be a librarian but due to difficulty with finances during the Depression, she was unable to continue college beyond one semester at Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis. Education through high school was completed at Curlew, Iowa. She was baptized in the Curlew Methodist Church and confessed a spiritual birth at age 12. Her parents were Jay and Mary (Polly Cross) Drown. Ruth Geneva Drown Brallier transitioned to eternal peace and joy on at the age of 90 years, 8 months.
